Story
In March, 2009 Bobbi and Brian signed a lease in the name of Construction Junction Child Care Center on a 5600-square-foot, former legal medical marijuana growing facility. Foundation Christian Fellowship has in turn signed a sub-lease with Construction Junction to use the building on weeknights and weekends.
Brian says:
“To see how God has brought this entire dream together is truly a testimony to His sovereign grace and glory. When we first opened our in-home child care business, we had no idea that one needed a director’s permit to open an outside-the-house child care business. As of May, Bobbi has completed everything necessary, and is a fully qualified director. God has arranged it so that we will be the first out-of-the-house child care facility in the entire church plant zip code. In addition, we are situated within walking distance of the largest, low-income apartment complex in the entire city. We have been informed by an agency that pays for transitional child care (people coming off of welfare and into the workforce) that there are 25 families in this particular housing facility alone that qualify for their voucher program but do not use it because they cannot find child care in the area.”
Construction Junction’s mission statement is, “Providing the Building Blocks for a Christ-centered Life.” This dovetails perfectly with the mission statement of Foundation Christian Fellowship, “Building a Better Body in Christ.”
Construction Junction is open in from 6:30am to 6:30pm, Monday through Friday.
